Speaker Positioning

Diagnostic

A scored read on where you stand, and a ranked short list of what to do about it. Shelley reviews your public materials and scores six dimensions of market authority before you meet. The session is spent testing those scores against what you know and narrowing the list.

Questions the session answers:

  • Whether your Big Idea is sharp enough for a buyer to repeat it
  • Why real credibility isn't producing inbound
  • Whether your fee and your booking volume match the record you already have
  • Which of these to address first

You leave with three ranked priority levers rather than a list of everything that could be improved. The report stands on its own; acting on it doesn't require buying anything else.

Created for speakers who want to know which move matters most next.

You Receive: A scored report and three ranked levers

Fee: $2,000

Intensive

A concentrated engagement that sharpens how your expertise is framed, communicated, and valued in the speaking industry. It covers what a speaking client sees and how your audience grows between bookings.

The work:

  • Refine your market positioning
  • Clarify who your keynote speaks to and why
  • Upgrade your credibility assets: bio, topic framing, strategic throughline
  • Align publishing, visibility, and speaking strategy
  • Map revenue pathways beyond your keynote

Created for speakers who want the market to catch up to their expertise.

You Receive: Three months of expert direction across your positioning, materials, and audience strategy

Fee: $7,500

Protocol

A comprehensive engagement for speakers seeking sustained growth, higher-value bookings, and long-term market credibility. The work extends past positioning into fee strategy, client experience, and the support structure behind them.

The work, in three phases:

Market reframing. Clarify where you sit among the business speaking tiers, refine your core offerings, and identify which target markets are worth pursuing.

Visibility and credibility alignment. Bring your messaging, publishing strategy, speaking materials, and external signals into agreement so each one reinforces the others.

Demand and business structure. Match your speaking client experience, audience experience, fee strategy, and the team around you to the level of opportunity you want to sustain.

Created for speakers with a clear ambition for where their career goes next.

You Receive: Six months of expert direction across your brand, your fees, and the business behind them

Fee: $15,000

The Brand Audit

A written, evidence-based examination of your speaking brand. Includes three calls to understand the business, an audit document within 30 days, and then three calls to work through the findings. The Diagnostic scores positioning in a single session; the Brand Audit examines the whole brand, asset by asset.
Fee: $17,000.

Book Launch

Book Launch Priorities

For business authors who want the book to raise their standing and keep producing demand well past launch week. The work is deciding what the launch actually requires, in what order, and what can be skipped.

The work:

  • Align the book's central idea with your broader market narrative
  • Identify the specific buyers and decision-makers the book should influence
  • Design the visibility plan that supports long-term positioning
  • Build a post-launch demand strategy

You leave with a sequenced plan that puts the book to work inside your speaking and consulting business.

Created for authors with a launch on the horizon, six months out or more.

You Receive: A sequenced plan for the book and the business

Fee: $6,000

Ongoing

Strategic Advising

Sessions address whatever is most pressing: who should publish your next book, who is buying the speeches you want to sell, what to quote when an event asks your fee, which vendors to hire and which to skip.

Two sessions is the first commitment. Additional sessions or a monthly retainer follow from there.

Created for speakers following up on a Brand Audit, or working through questions that sit outside the positioning work of the Intensive and Protocol.

You Receive: A worked-through read on the decision in front of you, and often the names of people who can do the work

Fee: $1,000 for two sessions

Fractional Chief of Staff

An experienced partner on the operating side: support staff and vendors sourced and managed, contracts reviewed before you sign, representation decisions thought through, launch strategy developed and carried out. You stay close to every decision. The work can end with a team in place and running.

Hours are set at the outset, typically five to twenty per month based on scope.

Created for speakers assembling a real operation around the speaking business and looking for help from someone who has run one.

You Receive: A team shaped around how you work, and a steady hand helping you direct it

Fee: Scoped to the engagement

Tiffany Bova

Shelley has been an enormously valuable advisor and sounding board during a particularly busy and consequential period in my work—

with a new book and everything that comes with preparing for its launch, alongside shifts in my speaking topics, priorities, and goals. She brings a sharp business perspective, helps me think through important decisions, catches things I might otherwise miss, and is always willing to dig into the details. She’s thoughtful, candid, experienced, and genuinely invested in helping me make good decisions about my work and career. I’m very grateful to have her in my corner.

Every engagement starts the same way:

a conversation about where you are.
